Arm Lift

Do you keep wishing that your arms looked smoother? Like you, many patients live with loose arm skin from aging or weight loss.

Dr. Constance Barone provides natural-looking arm lift surgery results to boost your confidence and satisfaction.

Her San Antonio, TX, plastic surgery practice invites you to learn more about how an arm lift can contour your arms and remove loose skin.

What Can an Arm Lift Help Me Achieve?

/

An arm lift, or brachioplasty, is a type of body contouring surgery designed to enhance the upper arms through three primary techniques:

What Causes Loose Upper Arm Skin?

Genetics

For some people, no matter what weight they are, they may still have loose upper arm skin. That's because there's a genetic component to this condition.

Weight Loss

Patients can feel discouraged after significant weight loss if they notice loose skin. However, it's a completely normal effect that happens on a weight loss journey. If it impacts your confidence, plastic surgery can help.

Aging

As we age, skin all over our body can begin to sag and droop. It's perfectly common, and many people live with it. If it impacts your self-esteem or the fit of your clothes, you can visit Dr. Barone for an arm lift consultation.

Consultation

First, Dr. Barone will meet with you privately during a consultation at her San Antonio office. She will listen to what you have to say, and explain your options. She also offers virtual consultations for your convenience.

Sedation

Before your procedure, we'll make sure you're fully relaxed. Dr. Barone uses local anesthesia during arm lifts, allowing patients to remain comfortable without experiencing the side effects of general anesthesia.

Incision

When it's time for your procedure, Dr. Barone will start with incisions marked underneath your arms or on your back.

Removal

Next, Dr. Barone will remove loose skin that is causing compromised definition.

Liposuction

If you have stubborn fat deposits in the upper arms, Dr. Barone can remove them using liposuction.

Sutures

Dr. Barone will close the incisions using sutures, tightening upper arm skin in the process. She'll also cover the area with bandages, so that it can stay protected.

Recovery

Recovery from brachioplasty can require one to two weeks away from work. Avoid strain during this time, but be sure to take short walks from time to time to promote blood flow, which is essential to proper healing.

The Cost of an Arm Lift

The cost of an arm lift at Dr. Barone's San Antonio, TX, practice starts at about $3,000. Your cost will depend on several factors, like whether you're also having liposuction performed as part of your brachioplasty, and if you're an out-of-town patient using our concierge service.
