Dr. Constance Barone is a leader and innovator in cosmetic plastic surgery who always puts the comfort and health of her patients first.
Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Barone brings immense knowledge and experience to cosmetic procedures, general surgery, and craniofacial reconstruction. She continually studies the most state-of-the-art medical techniques in order to maximize every patient's comfort and overall surgical experience.
Her dedication to surgical craft and to patient care has earned Dr. Barone the respect of other plastic surgeons in Texas and nationwide. She has also earned accolades such as inclusion in Castle Connolly America's Top Doctors® 2019, San Antonio's Best Doctors of 2019, and the Top Plastic Surgeons in America.
Education, Residencies, and Fellowships
Dr. Barone received her medical degree from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.
Following medical school, she completed a general surgery residency from Temple University, which was followed by a residency in plastic surgery at NYU. At NYU, she received training from some of the country's top surgeons while also training in microvascular surgery and reconstructive surgery in children.
She returned to New York two years later to pursue a post-doctoral fellowship in craniofacial surgery from Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center. While there, she developed a surgical technique for treating the premature closure of the skull in infants (craniosynostosis).
Dr. Barone is the former Chief of Plastic Surgery at Long School of Medicine - UT Health San Antonio.
