Chin Implants
Patients who have prominent noses, a recessed chin, or both can have balance restored to the face with chin implants. Made from a durable silicone elastomer material, the implant is placed through a discreet incision made through the inside of the mouth or underneath the chin. Positioned in front of the jawbone, the implant serves to balance and harmonize facial features and improve overall facial contour. The entire procedure typically takes about one hour to complete. A chin implant procedure can be combined with rhinoplasty or a facelift to provide a new and proportionate appearance to the face and can be done as an "Awake" procedure local anesthesia.
Cheek Implants
Lack of definition in the cheeks can be improved with cheek implants. Dr. Constance Barone can augment the cheeks and add new contours to the face with the insertion of cheek implants made of strong silicone elastomer. The procedure involves small incisions made in the lower eyelids, or inside the mouth. Dr. Barone will create pockets in the cheek tissue to accommodate the implant. Once the implants are placed, patients who have had lifelong facial narrowness, and those who have lost cheek contour with age, will see a restored balance and proportion to the face that compliments other facial features.
Cheek implants can be used in combination with other cosmetic procedures, such as eyelid surgery and facelift, for a more complete aesthetic makeover.
